How it works

From your file to a translated EPUB

  1. Choose your book

    Use an EPUB, PDF, or MOBI up to 40 MB that you have the right to process.

  2. Review the language and cost

    Choose the target language and model. Berilo shows an estimate before the provider starts charging for translation.

  3. Read the translated EPUB

    Download the completed EPUB and open it in your reader. A cloud translation continues if you close the tab.

The Android reader is not released yet. Until it is, read the translated EPUB in whatever reader you already use.

What it costs

You pay for the model you choose.

OpenAI or Anthropic charges usage through your API key. Berilo adds no subscription or markup. You see the estimate before translation starts.

Berilo caches translated segments so interrupted work can continue without translating those segments again.

Languages

The model detects the source. You choose the reading language.

Berilo translates into Slovenian, English, Spanish, Portuguese, German, and Italian. The model can also recognize source text in other languages.

Quality depends on the language pair and the model. Try one chapter before committing to a whole book.

Ownership and limits

Translate a book you have the right to process.

Berilo works on a file you provide. Choose local or cloud translation, then download your EPUB.

Your file stays with you

At home the file never leaves your computer. In the cloud we hold it until the translation ends, then delete it. Only your account can download the result.

No piracy tools

Berilo does not find books, remove DRM, host files, or share the original or translation.

You decide what leaves your device.

  • We delete the file when the translation ends. The title and author stay.
  • Your API key is encrypted on the server. The browser cannot read it back.
  • What you read stays private until you publish something yourself.
